Recipe Rescue Mobile App
Recipe Rescue is an innovative app designed to reduce household food waste by enabling users to input available ingredients and discover creative recipes. By providing tailored recipe suggestions based on what users have on hand, Recipe Rescue helps streamline meal planning and make the most of existing pantry items.
Objective: Our project was to create a solution to a problem through the design of an app.
Problem: Food, time, and money are wasted weekly during the process of planning meals, searching for past recipes, and not knowing what to do with leftover ingredients. This can lead to feelings of guilt, stress, and shame along with the negative environmental impacts of food waste.
Solution: Create an app that will generate recipes based on ingredients and portions the user has at home.
My Role: UX Researcher, UX Designer, Graphic Designer: Researched, created the wireframes, prototypes and designed the brand identity for the app.
